Buzz Aldrin marries partner Anca Faur on his 93rd birthday

On his 93rd birthday, Buzz Aldrin wed his longtime lover, Anca Faur. The second person to set foot on the moon was a retired astronaut and Korean War veteran.

Buzz Aldrin, an astronaut from Apollo 11, was photographed at the White House on July 19, 2019, when he declared that he and his wife, Anca Faur, are “excited as eloping adolescents.” Image from a file by Kevin Dietsch/UPI.

Following the commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, on July 21, 1969, Aldrin was the second person to set foot on the moon.

“I’m happy to inform that my lifelong love Dr. Anca Faur and I got married on my 93rd birthday, which is also the day I’ll be honoured by Living Legends of Aviation. In a modest, private ceremony in Los Angeles, we were united in holy matrimony, and we are as thrilled as teens about to run away “On Friday, Aldrin tweeted.

Chemical engineer Faur, Aldrin’s fourth wife, was born in Romania and is currently the executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.

Aldrin has over the years been involved in legal conflicts with family members. He argued with his ex-wife Lois Driggs Aldrin in 2011 over his business, Starbuzz.

When his adult children petitioned to be given guardianship of his affairs, Aldrin sued them in 2018. Two of Aldrin’s children withdrew their claim the next year, which led to the dismissal of the case.
