Cooper Noriega, a popular TikTok user, was discovered dead in a Los Angeles parking lot on June 9, 2022, sparking months of rumours about his cause of death.
The 19-year-old died from “combined effects of alprazolam, fentanyl, and lorazepam,” according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, in what investigators are classifying as an unintentional drug overdose. A probe turned up proof of “recent clonazepam use.”

Due to his lengthy battle with substance abuse, the young celebrity also announced to his Instagram followers on June 4 that he was launching a Discord page “for mental health.”

In the tearful post, he said, “You may think that’s strange, but that’s the life I’ve been dealt. I’ve been fighting with addiction since I was 9 years old.” “I would like to build a forum centred on increasing awareness and normalising talking about mental illness,” the author says.
The internet sensation had more than 427,000 Instagram followers, 1.7 million TikTok followers, and 95.7 million likes at the time of his death. He gained the most popularity by sharing lip-sync videos and brief sketches.
On social media, Noriega’s friends and family lamented their son’s premature loss. His father, Harold Noriega, wrote: “Today has been an extraordinarily tough moment for my family and myself.” Cooper, a gorgeous 19-year-old, passed away yesterday night. He was adored by a great number of people and Treva, Parker, and I all sincerely loved him.
