
During a two-hour police pursuit in Los Angeles, when the suspects damaged one car and leapt into another before being apprehended, a puppy was thrown from a moving vehicle but survived unharmed, according to the police.
The dog was thrown from a moving car as three suspects were being followed by police through several towns in Los Angeles County on Friday. The Los Angeles Police Department reported on Saturday that the chase came to a stop near Carson.
Police were searching for a March 26 carjacker and attempted murderer.

According to LAPD, officers found the dog after it had been thrown out.
“Miraculously, the dog came out unhurt, and arriving LAPD officers were able to save it. The puppy is currently in the care of South L.A. Animal Services, where it is being housed until an investigation into the potential abandonment is conducted, according to a statement from the LAPD.

The LAPD arrested Gustavo Alvarez, 27, Lynette Moreno, 27, and Michelle Zamudio, 25.
Police said carjacking suspect Alvarez is being jailed without bond for attempted murder. Moreno was detained for accessory and escaping after police said he put up a second getaway car. Zamudio was arrested for escaping and identified by the police as the driver of the second escape car.
The inquiry, according to authorities, is continuing.
